Trailer Rear Stabiliser TRS 1 is an effective and safe solution for stabilising the rear of trailers against vertical movement. It is particularly suitable for warehouse loading docks.

25% OF WORKPLACE TRANSPORT INJURIES ARE THE RESULT OF FORKLIFT ACCIDENTS.

The stabiliser protects the trailer against “trailer POP-UP”, when the rear of the trailer falls down after the forklift has entered the trailer. This happens repeatedly during the loading process as forklift moves in and out of the trailer. Thanks to its robust construction, the stabiliser keeps the trailer at a stable height and prevents it from moving vertically.

Product description

The main function of the stabiliser is to increase the stability of the trailer and to prevent injury to the operator during loading and unloading. For various types of trailers that are not attached to the truck (drop trailer loads), especially when they are loaded in the loading dock, the trailer can fall vertically when the forklift enters the trailer.  In these cases, the trailer stabiliser is the safest solution. The trailer is stabilized, by placing the stabiliser under the rear of the trailer, where the stabiliser is opened to the working position.

This secures the trailer correctly and ensures a stable position for loading/unloading. This means that there is no dangerous difference in height between the dock leveler and the trailer when the forklift is drives in and out. The stabiliser is not designed to lift but to stabilise the trailer.

Thanks to the stabiliser, you will not only increase the safety of your employees on loading ramps, but also minimise the risk of financial damage in the event of an accident (damage of forklift, trailer, loading dock, handled goods).

EFFECTIVE PROTTECTION MEASURE AGAINST TRAILER POP-UP

In the case of drop trailer loading (loading unconnected trailers), the trailer can drop vertically after the truck has entered the trailer. A significant drop can cause the trailer to tip over. The weight of a loaded forklift can be up to 6 tonnes. The stabiliser ensures that the trailer is held in a vertical direction, minimising the risk of accidents.

IDEAL SOLUTION FOR STABILISING JUMBO TRAILERS (MEGA TRAILERS)

The latest trend is towards JUMBO trailers (mega or light weight trailers) because of their greater transport capacity. On the other hand, this type of trailer is more prone to 'swaying' when the handling equipment enters and exits the trailer space.  This poses a significant risk of accidents to the forklift driver and financial damage to the equipment, the goods being handled and the loading dock. The stabiliser is the ideal solution for this type of trailer. It prevents the support legs from collapsing and the trailer from tipping over.

FLEXIBILITY AND MOBILITY

The stabiliser is a flexible and mobile solution and can be positioned at the required loading/unloading point. This reduces the cost of securing docks by eliminating the need to secure each dock individually.

EASY OPERATION

The stabiliser can be fully operated by one person only. Can operates completely without electrical or pneumatic power. Operation (raising/lowering) is via the stroke control pin using hand tools, clockwise to lift, counter-clockwise to lower. A cordless screwdriver can also be used for control.

Despite its heavy weight, the design of the wheels makes it easy to manoeuvre on the handling surface.

The handle locking pin allows the handle to be locked for easy operation. It can be adjusted within a range of 90°.

If the trailer has only one longitudinal beam in the middle, then the centre seating console has to be used (it can be purchased as an accessory).
